Miss Singapore’s cape had ‘Stop Asian Hate’ written on it!

The Miss Universe 2020 national nostume competition was aired today, and beauty queens from all over the world made sure to use the platform to address important issues!
For example, Miss Universe Myanmar Thuzar Lwin held out a banner during her walk, which read: “Pray for Myanmar.” The country has been under a military coup since February 2021. Thuzar’s luggage was actually ~lost in shipping~, and she had to wear a replacement costume for the event! It showcased the “delicate weaving skills of her country’s women and their strong spirit.”
